The Founders
Alexa Preyer, PT, DPT, Cert. DN
Dr. Alexa Preyer is a passionate and highly skilled physical therapist dedicated to helping individuals achieve optimal health and performance. She earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the prestigious University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in 2014 and brings over a decade of expertise to her practice.
Certified in dry needling and trained in advanced spinal manipulation and pelvic floor therapy, Dr. Preyer specializes in treating a diverse range of conditions. Her clinical focus includes orthopedic and sports injuries for athletes and active individuals of all ages, as well as prenatal and postpartum care for women looking to start or continue their fitness journeys. She excels at transitioning patients from injury back to sport and is committed to enhancing her patients’ overall wellness and quality of life.
As a former collegiate volleyball athlete, Dr. Preyer deeply understands the physical and mental demands of athletic performance. Since 2016, she has worked with high school sports teams across Cobb County and has been a trusted provider for gyms in Atlanta and the Metro Atlanta area. Her expertise, coupled with her athlete-first mindset, ensures her patients receive personalized care tailored to their goals.

Dom Preyer, COO
Dominick Preyer is the visionary Co-Founder and Chief of Operations at The Movement Experience, where he combines his passion for helping others with a decade of expertise in strategy, partnership development, and marketing. His mission is to create innovative solutions that enhance health, wellness, and community engagement.
Before co-founding The Movement Experience, Dominick served as Director of Operations for a Workforce Innovation Hub. In this role, he successfully implemented impactful programs, led participant recruitment, and facilitated graduate placement. His leadership also extended to developing a 31-room Men’s Housing Program to provide vital resources and support.
In addition to his work at The Movement Experience, Dominick helped to launch The Union, a state-of-the-art fitness hub offering over 10,000 square feet of space. The Union seamlessly blends fitness, events, and networking, creating a dynamic environment for members seeking more than just a gym.
With his unwavering dedication to empowering others and fostering meaningful connections, Dominick plays a pivotal role in driving The Movement Experience’s mission to transform lives through health, fitness, and community.
Mariah Moyer, DPT
Dr. Mariah earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from South College of Knoxville in 2024 and is a 2018 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. A bilingual practitioner fluent in Spanish, she has cultivated a strong foundation in movement analysis through her three years of experience as an aerial fitness instructor in Atlanta, along with a background in dance and cheerleading. Mariah is passionate about helping athletes and performing artists optimize their performance and recover from injuries, with plans to specialize in orthopedics, sports, and performing arts physical therapy.
